BE HERE! Every Day! All Day! All the Way!
Regular school attendance is a crucial component of student success. Research shows that students who attend school consistently are more likely to succeed than those who are chronically tardy and/or absent. RPE has set an attendance goal of 97.5% for the month of February. We are encouraging our families to Put First Things First and make your child's education a priority by ensuring they are at school on time and stay the entire day. Grade level classes are competing to be the winner of the Golden A award each month and as an added bonus for the month of February, the class from each grade level with the highest attendance rate will win the opportunity to dress up Mrs. Prindle or Mrs. Land for the day. We hope to see your child at school every day, all day!
A-F State Accountability Ratings Released
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released the "What If" A-F ratings for Domains I-IV based on data from the 2015-16 school year. To reiterate the communication sent to parents from earlier in the week, these new A-F ratings are hypothetical; in August 2016, TEA released the official state accountability ratings for the 2015-16 school year in which each LISD campus and the district received a "Met Standard" rating.

LISD Bus Route Information
Available Online Aug. 10
On Aug. 10, Leander ISD parents can enter their home address into Infofinder i, an online tool available on the LISD website, to look up their child’s bus number and pick-up/drop-off times and locations for the coming school year. In an effort to reduce expenses and ensure real-time accuracy, the district does not print and distribute bus route schedules prior to the start of school. Bus routes are subject to change, and so LISD parents are strongly encouraged to confirm their child’s bus information again the week prior to the start of school, Aug. 15-19. For transportation questions, please call 512-570-0700.

For The Health and Safety of Your Child
Please remember, when your child is sent home with fever, vomiting, diarrhea or other contagious illness, he/she needs to be free of symptoms for a 24 hour period without the use of medication before returning to school. Parents, please notify the school of any confirmed cases of flu.
Parents can keep their contact information up-to-date through txConnect. If you move, change jobs, or get new contact phone numbers, please be sure to update this information in txConnect. This is the only way we have to get your information should an emergency arise.
Parents of LISD students in grades 2-12 can use txConnect to access their child(ren)'s grades, while all LISD parents (kindergarten-grade 12) can use txConnect to check child(ren)'s attendance. E-Report Card and Interim Progress Reports are now offered through the txConnect site. For more information regarding txConnect and Electronic Grades click here.
